B.R. is the oldest licensed operating distillery in Memphis, creating award-winning small-batch handcrafted and hand-bottled bourbons that reflect the unique music history from the city, including Memphis blues, as its brand inspiration. Blue Note Straight Bourbon Whiskey is a premium small-batch bourbon. Its mash bill is 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% malted barley. At 93 proof, it is unfiltered and offers maple and butterscotch on the nose, with a smooth finish giving hints of vanilla. Each batch is curated carefully from only B.R.’s best barrels of bourbon, aged at least nine years. Blue Note Juke Joint Whiskey is aged for three years minimum, with a mash bill of 70% corn, 21% rye and 9% malted barley. Unfiltered and with sweet corn, allspice and oak on the nose, the taste offers vanilla, apricot and pear, with a lingering finish at 93 proof. Each is sold in 750-ml bottles.
