Companies Line Up Aid for Hurricane Harvey Help

Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, Texas, craft brewer of Shiner Bock, made a $500,000 contribution to nonprofit organizations throughout Texas to support relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey, diversified among several nonprofit organizations including the American Red Cross, Greater Houston Community Foundation, United Way of Greater Houston, Coastal Bend Community Foundation, United Way of the Coastal Bend, Feeding Texas (formerly Texas Food Bank Network) and Team Rubicon, which supports emergency response teams comprised of first responders and veterans. E. & J. Gallo Winery also donated $100,000 to the American Red Cross to aid with relief efforts, and assist those communities impacted by Hurricane Harvey, with a match on personal donations dollar for dollar made by its employees.

Suntory Holdings announced it has committed $1 million to support the American Red Cross in recovery efforts in communities that have been impacted by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. Beam Suntory, a subsidiary of Suntory Holdings, has also contributed more than $100,000 to support employee assistance funds established by its largest distributor partners, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and the Republic National Distributing Company, as well as the Bartender Emergency Assistance Program. Beam Suntory is also matching the hurricane relief donations of its U.S. employees.
