Fall Beers Signal Seasonal Switch at McLaughlin & Moran

By August 2, 2021Rhode Island, Top News

Cisco Brewers Pumple Drumkin Pumpkin Ale, Heavy Seas The Great’er Pumpkin Bourbon Barrel Aged Pumpkin Ale; and Heavy Seas Dark Anchor Porter.

Fall offerings from regional breweries are at the ready from McLaughlin & Moran, Inc., notably new pumpkin brews. From Nantucket’s Cisco Brewers comes Pumple Drumkin. With its bright copper hue, sweet cinnamon aroma and notes of caramel and gingerbread, it makes for a creamy, medium-bodied ale that pairs perfectly with a crisp fall day at 6% ABV, 40 IBU. Maryland-based Heavy Seas The Great’er Pumpkin pours a rich deep and burnished orange color with heady aromas of bourbon, cinnamon, ginger, allspice and clove in a full malt body, dominated by British crystal malt, brown sugar and pumpkin. Its bourbon-barrel aging rounds out the flavors with notes of oak, vanilla and bourbon at 10% ABV, 37 IBU. Heavy Seas Dark Anchor Porter, made with Target and Fuggle hops and Maris Otter malts, among the mix, is rich, malty and complex with a dry finish for a robust English-style porter, at 6.8% ABV, 25 IBU. Each is sold in cans, bottles and kegs for on- and off-premise.
