
The Great Bols Genever Cocktail Competition was held on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at The Eddy in Providence. Calling on United States Bartenders Guild Rhode Island (USBG RI) chapter members, the contest sought a winning original cocktail using Bols Genever “inspired by pre-prohibition style drinks.” Judges included Gail Ciampa, Providence Journal food editor and restaurant critic, David Dadekian of Eat, Drink, RI, Chris Amirault, cocktail expert and Jen Ferreira, East Coast Brand Ambassador for Lucas Bols. Carlos Garcia from the The Eddy won first place and Vito Lantz of The Dorrance placed second.
