Horizon Beverage Co. of Rhode Island supported its annual charitable efforts for Adoption Rhode Island during the 2020 holiday season. The Horizon team raised approximately $1,500 for gift cards and online giving. With the COVID-19 pandemic changing the process of charitable gift giving, the agency was accepting gift cards and monetary donations on behalf of its beneficiaries. Under normal circumstances, the children and teens make their wish lists and donors shop to fulfill those wishes. In order to keep children, staff and donors safe, gift cards and donations were accepted. Adoption Rhode Island is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to finding forever families for children in state care. The program facilitates, promotes and supports the permanent placement of children waiting for adoption while improving the well-being of foster and adopted children and their families. The gift program is among the annual coordinated community efforts that Horizon Beverage Co. of Rhode Island supports.
