Max Cares Foundation Provides Holiday Meals

The Max Cares Foundation, Inc. donated more than $50,000 worth of food benefiting thousands in the Greater Hartford and Springfield, Massachusetts areas who were experiencing homelessness and food insecurity during the 2021 holiday season. Through the foundation’s 5th Annual Roasts for the Holidays fundraiser, $26,000 was raised through charitable donations collected from patrons at Max Restaurant Group locations and through the nonprofit’s website, maxcaresfoundation.org, with the Max Cares Foundation matching donations with an additional gift of $25,000. Roasts for the Holidays provided a “Max-quality” holiday dinner to 16 nonprofits in the area, including House of Bread in Hartford, Springfield Rescue Mission, Loaves and Fishes in Hartford, Open Hearth in Hartford, Open Pantry Community Services/Loaves and Fishes Kitchen in Springfield, YWCA of Hartford, Mercy House and Shelter – St. Elizabeth House/Friendship Center, Interval House in Hartford, Hands on Hartford, CSO/Friends of the Homeless in Springfield, Community Renewal Team’s McKinney Shelter in Hartford and East Hartford, Salvation Army of Bristol, The Friendship Center in New Britain, Loaves and Fishes in Enfield and Lorraine’s Soup Kitchen and Pantry in Chicopee, Massachusetts. The Max Cares Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity whose mission is to assist individuals and communities in the Greater Hartford and Springfield areas through charitable giving.
