Monsieur Touton Selection, Ltd., added new import Blue Nectar Tequila. Made in Amatitán, Mexico, Blue Nectar Tequila is newly available in Connecticut in Silver, Reposado Extra Blend and Añejo. Its founders, father-and-son duo Roberto Real Reynoso and Fernanda Real Meza, use estate-grown agaves surrounding the distillery, grown in the rich volcanic soils native to the Amatitán valley of Jalisco. Its name, Blue, is inspired by their commitment to making quality tequilas using 100% blue agave, or “agave azul,” with nectar coming from the mystical connection to ancient rituals that used a fermented drink made from agave. Guillermo Garcia-Lay serves as Master Blender. The tequilas are fermented in stainless steel tanks, distilled three times in stainless steel pot stills and copper condensing coils, and aged in North American white oak whiskey and bourbon barrels.
