The Twin River Casino Event Center hosted its first-time event, the New England Whiskey Festival, September 27, 2014. Whiskey products, trends and innovations were showcased while close to 1,500 guests discovered new brands and beverage trends, sampled food and enjoyed entertainment by The Whiskey Treaty Roadshow, as well as the Woodford Reserve Manhattan Experience cocktail competition. “Whiskey is making an incredible comeback on the restaurant and bar scene and we’re so pleased to bring to our guests some of the best ways to explore this iconic beverage,” said Mike Barlow, Vice President of Property Operations for Twin River. A portion of ticket sale proceeds from the event went to benefit the RI Hospitality Association Education Foundation.
