Rhode Island’s newest brewery, Proclamation Ale in West Kingston, launched with a private party on January 18, 2014. The nanobrewery was founded by Dave Witham, brewer and president, with plans on serving the greater Rhode Island market. Proclamation Ale distributes through Horizon Beverage. Members of The Rhode Island Brewing Society and Girls Pint Out RI members attended among the 50 guests. Witham poured two beers: Tendril, an IPA and zzzlumber, a Dutch imperial stout.
