Connecticut Distributors, Inc. (CDI), hosted a cocktail competition at Hartford’s Little River Restoratives on February 24. The evening kicked off with a United States Bartender’s Guild (USBG) Hartford chapter meeting and membership drive. Bartenders then created their best frozen cocktails featuring Reyka Small Batch Icelandic Vodka for judges Nadine Gengras, Senior Trade Development Manager, CDI; Stacey Pabst, Trade Development Manager, CDI; and Rachel Markoja, Little River Restoratives. The winner was Khalid Williams of Cotton Hollow Kitchen, with runner-up Rob Szabo of Farmington Gardens and The North House. Distilled in Borgarnes, Iceland, Reyka Vodka is made from arctic spring water that runs through a 4,000-year-old lava field.
