The Rhode Island Hospitality Association’s Women in Hospitality Council hosted “The Working Woman” via Zoom on March 1. Geared at wellness within the community of working women in March, which is also National Women’s History month, the event touched on topics of self-care and prioritization. The event recognized how women have been disproportionately impacted due to the global COVID-19 pandemic and offered a place to connect. The session, titled “Energy, Values and Self Care During a Global Pandemic,” featured keynote speaker Parita Kuttappan, CEO of Awarify Coaching, who addressed professional and personal needs with positive, constructive strategies alongside resources and tools from her life coaching experiences. Sponsored by MS Walker of Rhode Island, proceeds from the event benefited the RI Hospitality Education Foundation.
