Sarto
86 Dorrance Street
Providence, RI

Located in the heart of downtown Providence, Sarto is known for its creative farm-to-table, Italian-inspired fare and eclectic beverage selections. Honored with a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence 2020, the venue’s curated wine list includes fine selections from a range of price points alongside local and regional beers. There are also plenty of specialty cocktails to enjoy on Sarto’s patio, including its Espresso Old Fashioned, which, according to General Manager Britton Pruett, was “born out of pure curiosity” one evening when a regular requested a cocktail featuring espresso that wasn’t a martini. “I instantly thought of an Old Fashioned,” Pruett said. “Something about the idea of freshly chilled espresso, cherries and bourbon was really appealing. As I was stirring the drink and the orange and cherry mulled with the bourbon and espresso, it was clear we were onto something. The guest loved it and our whole team agreed it was something special. Now, it’s our most ordered cocktail. It’s savory, smoky, sweet and a great new approach to a classic cocktail.”
