SoNo 1420 Broadens Connecticut Reach with Distribution

By June 1, 2020Connecticut, Top News

Connecticut-made SoNo 1420 American Craft Distillers offers small-batch, handmade hemp distilled spirits across the state through distributor Worldwide Wines. SoNo 1420 produces ultra-premium, alternative grain distilled spirits. Located in a custom-designed industrial building in historic South Norwalk by award-winning architect Bruce Beinfield, the distillery highlights the imported copper and stainless steel still, as well as its destination tasting room. The SoNo 1420 line includes whiskeys, gin and vodka and is the first distillery to incorporate hempseed into a whiskey mash bill. Its gins are gluten-free, made with 100% corn neutral spirits and vapor-infused with a medley of botanicals. Each is specifically selected, not for its taste profiles but for its terpenes, the aroma and taste molecules found in the essential oils of plants known to have medicinal properties, including from juniper berries, grains of paradise, orris root and angelica root among them. Its vodkas are handcrafted in small batches using 100% corn-based, gluten-free spirits that are vapor-infused with simple, fresh ingredients and no artificial flavors, no sugar and no artificial sweeteners.
