Mancini Beverage – Rhode Island Distributing division added The Pale, a new rosé wine by Sacha Lichine, renowned rosé winemaker whose award-winning rosés include Whispering Angel and Château d’Esclans to its portfolio. A new trade offering for the U.S. market, the wine itself is extremely pale in color, an almost gray/pink. Born in Bordeaux and educated in the U.S., Lichine began working at his family’s property, Château Prieuré-Lichine, during the summers of his youth, cultivating a career that ranged from luxury tour wine operator to sommelier to winemaker. His 2006 acquisition of Château d’Esclans in Provence has resulted in building a world-class brand while providing a strong contribution to unprecedented growth within the rosé category.
