Westford Beverage Offers New Portfolio Selections

By December 4, 2020Connecticut, Top News

Westford Beverage expanded its portfolio to bring new offerings to the Connecticut market. While known for offering Argentina’s Mythic Wine line, several new domestic and imported brands are now available. Napa Valley-made Ultraviolet Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted by Winemaker Samantha Sheehan, named one of Food & Wine magazine’s “15 Women to Watch in Wine.” Ultraviolet sources its grapes from vineyards in St. Helena and Coombsville for a 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot. The wine is aged for 18 months in 50% new French oak, 50% neutral French oak. Also new to the state is Delord Armagnac, in Napoleon and XO expressions. Delord has been crafting their award-winning, small-batch French brandies since 1893 through four generations from the Bas-Armagnac region. While in the shadow of Cognac for more than a century, hidden gems from Armagnac’s Delord can be found now locally. New from New Zealand is 2020 vintage Toi Toi Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, which offers a crisp and flavorsome wine. Ready for the holidays, Pickering’s Gin from Edinburgh, Scotland, offers a six-pack of colorful baubles holding the small-batch gin, made from a 1947 recipe featuring nine Bombay botanicals.
