Wine Wizards Adds Providence’s Industrious Spirit Company

By May 28, 2020Rhode Island, Top News

Wine Wizards added local distillery, The Industrious Spirit Company (ISCO), to its portfolio. ISCO produces sustainably sourced vodka, gins and bourbons at Providence’s first distillery since Prohibition. Its Structural Vodka is made from regionally grown organic non-GMO corn. After the corn is milled at the farm, the vodka is made from scratch at the distillery. Located on the site of a former industrial mill complex just a mile from downtown Providence, the business was set to open in April 2020. Founded by a collaborative local team – Manya Rubinstein, Dan Neff, H. Douglas Randall and John Curtin – its COVID-19 adjustments include the team operating its #WishWeCouldWindow campaign, aka the “Wish We Could Give You a Hug But at Least We Can Give You Vodka” Window for safe customer pickup as it markets its spirits. The distillery has been also giving away its manufactured WHO-formula hand sanitizer when available. The ISCO distillery and tasting room will welcome guests for tours when the pandemic guidelines allow for visitors to be part of its official public opening. With Wine Wizards now as its distributor, the spirits will be available more broadly in select retail and on-premise venues beginning in June.

Industrious Spirit Company Structural Vodka is made with regionally grown, organic, non-GMO corn. The small-batch corn is cooked, fermented and distilled, then combined for further rounds of distillation and charcoal-filtered at least 20 times, giving it a uniquely creamy mouthfeel and a smooth, lingering finish.
