Poderi e Cantine Oddero’s Oddero Barolo DOCG, Oddero Barbera D’Asti Nizza DOCG and Oddero Langhe DOC Riesling.

New wines from Italian producer Poderi Oddero join the Worldwide Wines portfolio. Poderi e Cantine Oddero is a historical brand among Barolo producers, with the winery’s roots dating back to the end of the 18th century, located in Santa Maria of La Morra, Italy. New-to-Connecticut wines include Oddero Barolo DOCG, 100% Nebbiolo, Santa Maria Bricco Chiesa. The Barolo is a brilliant garnet-red color, with warmer tinges developing over time, an unmistakable bouquet, spiced with aromas of truffles, licorice and dried flowers, a dry taste, full tannins. Oddero Barbera D’Asti Nizza DOCG is a 100% Barbera from Nizza Monferrato, Scrimaglio. A deep ruby-red color, bouquet of red fruit, bitter chocolate and coffee, which as time passes, becomes spicier with “wild” notes. The dry and robust wine is enhanced by dense body and roundedness. Oddero Langhe DOC Riesling, is a Riesling Renano, with two selected clones, made from its vineyards in Località San Biagio, Santa Maria di La Morra. The wine offers a pleasant, pale-yellow color, with slightly greenish highlights. Its bouquet is vertical, with barely noticeable hydrocarbonic notes and mineral flavor, and makes an excellent accompaniment for antipasti, pasta dishes, vegetable risottos and cheese.
